Privacy Policy

1. Overview
InputAnchor is a macOS menu bar utility developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data InputAnchor and its supporting services collect, why, and how it's handled when you use the app or purchase a license.
2. Data we collect
App configuration (local only). The per-app input source rules you set are stored locally on your Mac and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
License activation. When you activate a license, InputAnchor generates a device-specific key pair inside your Mac's Secure Enclave. Only the resulting public key — which cannot identify you personally and cannot be extracted from the Secure Enclave — is sent to our license server, solely to enforce the device limit on your license (up to 3 devices).
Purchase information. Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, acting as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details and email address directly; we never see or store your payment details. When Paddle notifies us that a purchase is complete, we receive your email address and an order reference, which we use solely to generate and email you your License Key.
Email delivery. We use Resend to send transactional emails — such as your License Key — to the email address provided at purchase.
Server logs. Our license server logs basic technical metadata (timestamp, IP address, endpoint requested) for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. These logs are not used for tracking or advertising and are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
3. What we don't do
InputAnchor does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or behavioral profiling in the app. We do not sell your data.
4. Third-party processors
- Paddle.com — payment processing and billing (Merchant of Record)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
5. Data retention
We retain license and purchase records for as long as needed to support your license — including refunds and support requests — and for legitimate business and legal record-keeping. Server logs are retained on a rolling, limited-time basis.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about your license, or request deletion of your license record (which will deactivate your license), by contacting us at zhuchenxi113@gmail.com.
7. Children's privacy
InputAnchor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as InputAnchor evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
